Who is eligible for Live Educational Events (LEE)?
An individual medical specialist
A university or hospital department
A scientific medical society
Applications by other types of providers will be considered on a case by case basis.
If you are:
a medical communication agency;
a professional congress organiser (PCO).
You must co-develop your application with one of the CME provider mentioned above.
Submission process
The recommended application period is at least 12 weeks from the planned start date of the event. The latest date for receipt of a fully completed application form, supporting documents and confirmed WMR® fee payment is 10 weeks prior to the scheduled start date of the event.
The entire evaluation process should take no more than 6 weeks from the time the applicant is informed by the WMR® office that the application is complete and the accreditation fee has been received.
The application will then be forwarded for review.
Any time there is a delay in the process that is the responsibility of the applicant (i.e., the reviewer(s) has questions for the applicants that are awaiting a response...), the clock stops and the delay is not included in the above 6-week timeline.
Accreditation of E-Learning Materials (ELM)
- An individual medical specialist
- A university or hospital department
- A scientific medical society
If you are:
medical communication agency;
professional congress organizer (PCO).
You must develop your application in conjunction with one of the above CME providers.
WMR is fully responsible for activities taking place or organized within Europe and the Americas, Asia and Africa for CME credit recognition..
E-learning activities must be certified for credit under the CME procedure.
